1.13. A New Day Begins
Posted on 4 November 2019
You step back into Henry again for a final time. It’s a new day and you wake up to the morning sun shining brightly.
You stand in front of a bathroom mirror and see a new face staring back at you. This isn’t the face you remember. It’s much older and full of lines.
How did you get so old when the operation was only yesterday?
Standing in front of the mirror, you wash and shave. A stranger comes from somewhere to ask you questions. You answer them. Your parents come to see you for the first time and there is such sadness in their eyes.
How can they be so much older than before?
They tell you and you cry.
Years pass by.
You awake to a new day and another stranger comes to ask you some questions. The operation was yesterday and You’ve got some questions of your own. She tells you that your parents have died. You cry yourself to sleep.
A day passes by.
You awake to the brightness of a new day. And another stranger comes to ask you some questions. The operation seems like yesterday and you’ve got some questions of your own. The stranger tells you that your parents have died.
You sleep knowing that one day it will be you who will die.
